Day 17

Sunday june the 30th - Independence Day for Congo, a good day for inaugurating the water system in Kyaba.

Anders talking about how the village can take good care of their new water system, so that it can last for many years.

Many people from the village had come to the ceremony, in the front line you see the local chiefs.

3 choirs was there for the ceremony, here you see one of them in action.

A elderly woman shed a tear. She knows what it means to get water from a 65 meters well in a closed system, rather than 10 meters open well, that dry out right before the rainy season.

Chief Mepo cuts the red rope, as a symbol of new hope.

A big thanks to all the people that has worked in Kyaba to make this project possible !!

    We rejoice with the people of Kyaba upon the completion of this water project. We are grateful to Anders and the team from Denmark for supervising this project and to the Congolese people who worked diligently to see it to completion.
