Day 17

Sunday june the 30th - Independence Day for Congo, a good day for inaugurating the water system in Kyaba.

Anders talking about how the village can take good care of their new water system, so that it can last for many years.

Many people from the village had come to the ceremony, in the front line you see the local chiefs.

3 choirs was there for the ceremony, here you see one of them in action.

A elderly woman shed a tear. She knows what it means to get water from a 65 meters well in a closed system, rather than 10 meters open well, that dry out right before the rainy season.

Chief Mepo cuts the red rope, as a symbol of new hope.

Day 15

Friday the 28-06-13

The tower is done, the barrels are up and the pipes are connected...
...do we really have to wait until sunday, with giving the village water.

... We could not wait.

Even the men go to get water ;)

Two boys are playing with water... their mother is okay with it.


The water system is almost done, so the leftover cement is used to repair the stairs to the small Methodist Church that is next to the water tower.
